Terrifyingly Terrific
Elation and Antari Set Scary Mood At Universal Studio’s Halloween Horror Nights

Why do so many of us love to scare ourselves silly at this time of year? Who knows, but it’s a lot of fun. Elation and Antari are contributing to the frightful festivities at Universal Studio Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights this October, just as they did last year. Rick Kisosondi of Lighting and Production Resources LLC, (lightingandproductionresources.com) supplied the popular attraction with Elation products like the ELAR 108, ELAR 180, ELAR 216 Panel and the EWDMX System, as well as offerings from Antari like the Z1500II, the DNG-200 low fog effect and the IP-1500.
Check out Antari at LDI booth 812 if you want frightfully good fog for your shows.

Magnetic Force
80 Elation ELAR Ex Floods Draw Thrill Seekers To Giant Water Park Ride At Great Wolf Lodge
Talk about making a splash. The towering ProSlide™ Tornado is a thrill seeker's dream come true with a g-force defying 45° through a winding tunnel that leaves you wobbly, white knuckled – and wanting to go back for more! Hey, when you got something this thrilling, you want to flaunt it –and that’s exactly what John Machnik of Electro-Works, Inc. (electro-works.com) helped the ride’s owners (Great Wolf Lodge) do by using ELAR EX Floods to bath the watery ride in a glowing rainbow of changing colors. The transformative light show now only adds to the excitement of the ride, it commands instant attention from all who pass on the nearby Pacific Coast highway. See it for yourself.

Brian Hatten, Atlanta Sound and Lighting
A driving creative force behind Atlanta Sound and Lighting, lighting designer Brian Hatten’s bold, outside-the-box lighting always seems to add an extra and often unexpected dimension to any setting, whether it’s a button-down corporate event or edgy concert, without being disruptive or distractive. Part of the ASL team that has done work for the past five US Presidential administrations, the 1996 Olympics, Amy Grant, and The Indigo Girls among others, Hatten’s life is as busy as it is creatively challenging. So how does he unwind when the lights go out? Click here to find out.

Look, Up In The Sky! These Are High Times For Aerial Effects
It’s been a good year since the last LDI Show for Elation, and one of our biggest stars has been the Platinum Beam 5R, which drew rave reviews for its work at LA Rising and the Coldplay performance at Jimmy Kimmel Live! recently. Eric Loader, Director of Sales for Elation Professional and Acclaim Lighting looks at this powerful ACL beam aerial effect, the success it’s enjoyed and the implications this holds for Elation Professional and its customers.  Read what Eric has to say.

More On How Our ELED Tri Par 56
Got Groovy In Hair

In our last issue we showcased some “groovy photos” from the reprisal of the musical Hair by Opening Nights Art Group in the Chicago area, which featured lighting designer Jason Reberski’s inspired use of our ELED Tri Par 56 tri-color LED par cans. At the time, we promised to follow up with a more detailed story about the lightshow at this counter culture classic. Being true to our word, we instantly set about putting together a detailed story on this far out light show. So we now invite you to take a psychedelic step back in time. Click here to read.
